Motive Mirror is for adults: you need to be 18 or older to use the tools or join the waitlist.

Self-help, not professional advice

Motive Mirror is a self-help tool. It isn't therapy, counseling, or medical, legal, or financial advice, and it isn't a crisis service. Nothing on the site replaces a qualified professional who knows you and your situation.

AI reads can be wrong

The tools use AI to suggest what a message might mean, how a situation might look, or what you could say. An AI can't know what someone meant or felt, and it can miss context or simply get things wrong. Treat a read as one view, not a verdict.

You know your life and the people in it. Use your own judgment, and you decide what to send, say, or do.

Free reads

The tools are free, with 3 reads a day across all of them. The count starts fresh each day at midnight UTC. It follows your IP address, so people sharing a connection may share the count. If a read fails, or a tool can't read what you sent, it doesn't count.

No account is needed. The number of free reads may change; if it does, this page will say so.

Using the site fairly

Please don't use Motive Mirror to:

• harass, threaten, stalk, or hurt anyone
• write messages meant to deceive, pressure, or control someone
• contact someone who has asked you not to, or who a court order says you mustn't
• try to get around the daily limit, or to overload, copy, or break the site
• try to make the tools produce harmful content

We may block access for anyone who misuses the site.

Content and links

The guides in the library are general information, written and checked as described on the about page. They can't cover every situation, so take what fits yours and leave the rest.

Some pages link to other websites, such as sources and support lines. We don't run those sites, so their own terms and privacy policies apply there.

No guarantees

We work to keep Motive Mirror running and helpful, but we can't promise it will always be available, error-free, or unchanged. We may change, pause or stop a tool at any time.

Changes to these terms

As Motive Mirror changes, these terms may change too. When they do, the date at the top of this page changes with them.
